Lynn Casper
Lynn Casper is a new media activist who keeps her finger on the pulse of how the digital world can advance activism and documentary film. Lynn joined Working Films’ as a George Stoney Fellow in the Summer of 2006 where she participated in the development of and creation of the Iraq Media Action Project (IMAP) website. She has since continued her role as website administrator for IMAP and also for the Ghosts of Abu Ghraib and Working Films websites.
Lynn holds a B.A. in Sociology with a focus on diversity and inequality and a minor in Women’s Studies. She interned with the Wilmington Housing Authority and co-led the creation of community gardens for low-income neighborhoods in downtown Wilmington. Lynn has been heavily involved with local activism in the Wilmington area and co-founded the Be Your Own Hero collective whose mission is to empower individuals and strengthen their communities using a do it yourself ideology.
